Casualty and Emergency Department

At this point I would describe the unit where I work. I work in the Casualty and Emergency Department. Casualty and Emergency Department located in the front of othe rooms, in the north and west. In the east of Casualty and Emergency Department there is a place of registration and inpatients registration. There are also a spiritual guidance and a supervisor rooms. On the south side of a registration room, there is oxygen storage and washing dishes and glasses place.

When entering into the Emergency room, you will enter a triage room. Triage function is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. In the Emergency room there are 9 patients bed that contained protector on the left and right. In each patient bed there are curtain that function to protecting patient privacy. Then, in the west there is medical procedur room that used for suturing the patient. In front of this room there is Nursing Station. Behind Nursing Station there is break room for nurses and doctors, there is also bath room and changing room.

Then in the west of Nursing Station there is Intermediate Care room thats have 6 patients bed. This room is for patients who have not been able to inpatient room. In front of Intermediate Care room there is headroom of Emergency Department. In this room there; case manager, head of the emergency department and nurses. In the west there is physicians room. In front of Intermediate Care room also there is pastients and patients family bathroom. That is rooms in the Emergency Departement.

I work in the ER since 2005, so until now has been about 11 years. I work with a team of my friends. Emergency crews, among others: 8 physicians, 1 head of the emergency department, 1 case manager , 2 deputy head of the emergency department, 21 nurses, 4 nursing assistants, one administrative person dan 4 officers of hygiene and sanitation. Our work is divided into 3 shifts. Morning, afternoon and night. Morning shift from 07.00 until 14.00, afternoon shift from 14.00 until 21.00 and then night shift from 21.00 until 07.00. The personnel of each shift include: morning shifts usually 8, afternoon shift 7, and night shift 5.
That is my description about my work places.
